Fair Trade Principles

FAIR TRADE PRINCIPLES

Indochine Natural is committed to following basic principles of Fair Trade:

1.     Creating opportunities for economically disadvantaged producers

2.     Transparent management and commercial relations to deal fairly and respectfully with our partners.

3.     Capacity building to develop the economic independence of our partners.

4.     Raising awareness and promoting Fair Trade, and providing information about the company, our partners, the products, and the conditions under which they are produced.

5.     Payment of a fair prices under conditions that enables production which is socially just and environmentally sound

6.     Gender equity to ensure women are always paid for their contribution to the production process and are empowered in their organizations.

7.     Safe and healthy working environment for employees and partners/producers.

8.     Child labour will not be used at any stage in the production of our products or those of our partners.

9.     Sound environmental practices and the application of responsible methods will be used at all stages of production.

10.  Long-term relationships will be developed with partners that are based on trust and mutual respect. Advance payment for products will be made to partners on request.
